HOW DID YOU GET INTO TRAVEL BLOGGING?
I have been thinking about travel blogging for a long time but just could not find the time to do it until the pandemic came. Traveling has always been my passion and I hope that this travel website can inspire others to discover their own adventures whether it is in the real or virtual reality world
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST EXCITING TRAVEL MOMENT?
An experience that really stands out is the climb to Piz Trovat in Switzerland. We climbed the mountain using ladders, ramps and cables fixed to the rock ledge. When I looked back at the video, I can’t believe I did it! The experience of climbing, being part of nature, overcoming fear, and reaching the summit are experiences that I will never forget.
This thrilling experience has also inspired me to create this website; the share the journey beyond the ordinarily but yet achievable by ordinarily people like me.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE VIRTUAL REALITY TRAVEL EXPERIENCES?
VR allows people to have a realistic and immersive experience in travelling. Some of the places I have been to required lots of walking and climbing, and these travel are off-limits to my parents and many others with mobility issues. With VR, I can share these travel experiences to all.
Imagine my parents on Mount Everest, in outer space or under the sea; it would be a surreal experience for them. VR vacation allows everyone to experience the joy of travelling without leaving home.
HOW REALISTIC IS VR?
VR is a great opportunity to get a better ‘feel’ for a destination than simply looking at static pictures. It’s truly immersive and it will leave you breathless.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IF I WANT TO EXPERIENCE VR VACATION?
For a full VR experience, you will need a VR headset. It could be one of the 3 popular VR headset, namely, Oculus, PSP or HTC. Use any browser within your VR system to navigate to VR Travel, select one of the post and choose a video to play.
Even without a VR headset you can still watch the video in 360 degree mode. Click the “Play” button and while the video is playing, you can use your mouse or your finger on touch screen panel to change the perspective and angle of the video.

In recent years, the price and the advancement of VR technologies has reached a point where it is affordable and appealing to many. Our gadgets in the creation of VR video is a 360 degree camera (Insta360 OneX) and its related accessories.
